1. Science.
As a kid, I was pretty intrigued by science. It satisfied my curiosity craving. And I f+cking love that we’re seeing science and culture reconnect. As Martin Raymond puts it. “When discussions about God are replaced by discussions about the god particle.”
2. Space.

After recently moving in together, I asked my girlfriend for a little space. She insisted that we start watching BBC’s Wonders of the Universe. Through brilliant storytelling, Professor Brian Cox reminds us of our significance, and insignificance.
3. Sleep. ![Young professional asleep at desk. Stock image. Young professional asleep at desk. Stock image.]()
A very successful, very hard-working, and very wise man recently told me that he breaks up his work day with a 15 minute nap after lunch, every day. He told me that it was the key to his productivity -- and swears by it. Then I read this article. No doubt that I’ll have to put a business case together for the return on sleep investment (ROsI).
4. Sir Ken Robinson.

Whilst conducting desktop research, I rediscovered Sir Ken Robinson’s TED talk on creativity, where he challenges the way society educates kids. I had forgotten how compelling, and entertaining, his argument is. It should be shared as much as possible. Oh, and it also reminded me of Queen’s I Want To Break Free.
5. Shovel, The.
“North Korea’s supreme leader Kim Jong-Un was today weighing up whether to start a nuclear war with arch enemy the United States, or eat another scrumptious jam-filled doughnut.” I’ve only recently discovered The Shovel, “Australia’s second favourite satirical news service, after Today Tonight.” You should too.
6. Samsung.

Although I use Apple products, and I love Apple products, I’m becoming increasingly interested in how Samsung is “changing the game”. But then I remember, the less popular Apple is, the more hipster I become.
7. Service.
Melbourne’s taxi system is really, really bad. Having moved to Sydney a few weeks ago, I was really, really excited for the system here to suck a lot less. How wrong was I?
Really, really wrong. (This is the ACTUAL website of Sydney’s largest taxi company.)
Thank you, Uber. You epitomise the disruption that traditional service models need.
8. Sydney.

Speaking of Sydney. It’s f+cking great, thanks for asking. I even went to the opera on Sunday.
The opera was on a pontoon, on the harbour, with an almost Wonder of the World in the background. AND there were fireworks.
